The Faizan Global Relief Foundation (FGRF) has given K100 million to 100 families in Malawi, underlining its ongoing commitment to helping vulnerable communities.
The initiative is part of a wider plan to reach over K1 billion in support nationwide.
The programme, launched in Blantyre, provides each family with K1 million and business management training to encourage self-reliance and long-term income generation.
Beneficiaries were also assisted to open bank accounts, with progress checks scheduled regularly.

FGRF’s Head of Africa, Usman Madani, said the focus is on building sustainable livelihoods rather than short-term aid. Beyond cash support, the foundation has helped over 150,000 people through food and essential item distributions, particularly during Ramadan.
Business leaders encouraged recipients to make the most of the funds. Hanif Osman urged discipline and strategic investment, while Abdul Munaf Siku and Abdul Latif stressed honesty, dedication, and proper record-keeping.
Beneficiaries say the support will transform their livelihoods. Hanifu Qaussimu plans to expand his maize-selling business, while Ismail Amidu will grow his restaurant.
FGRF’s communications director, Ibrahim Omar Mataya, reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to uplifting communities and called for wider public support to sustain its programmes.
