President of Salvation for All Ministries International, Apostle Clifford Kawinga, has expanded his charitable work beyond direct assistance to communities, with interventions covering agriculture, public safety, environmental protection, culture and youth empowerment.
His recent interventions include a K30 million donation to Mulhako wa Alhomwe towards its annual cultural festival scheduled for October at the Chonde Cultural Heritage Centre.
The festival promotes Lhomwe culture, language and traditions, while Kawinga said cultural activities can also create opportunities for vendors, artisans, performers and other businesses.
Through his Hope Field Initiative, Kawinga has also been supporting households affected by hunger and disasters in different parts of the country.
In June 2026, the initiative provided food and non-food relief worth K13.5 million to 878 households affected by hailstorms and heavy rains in Traditional Authority Chimutu in Lilongwe.
The assistance included K8.7 million in cash to 146 families, 318 bags of fertiliser, 318 packets of tomato and cabbage seeds, iron sheets for five families and plastic sheeting for all the affected households.
Earlier this year, the Hope Field Initiative reached more than 16,000 households in Lilongwe, Salima, Nkhotakota and Mzimba with food assistance following floods and prolonged dry spells.
The programme also distributed 2,800 bags of maize to 2,800 households in Traditional Authority Mtwalo in Mzimba.
Kawinga has also taken his interventions into agriculture.
In July, he launched the Hope Field Agricultural Produce Market in Mchinji, where the initiative was buying a 50-kilogramme bag of maize from farmers at K50,000, while vendors were buying at K45,000.
His charitable work has also extended to public safety through Creck Hardware and General Suppliers.
On August 27, the company donated two firefighting trucks worth K300 million to the Ministry of Local Government to strengthen emergency response and help protect lives and property.
Creck Hardware has previously supported community security through the construction of a police unit at Msundwe at a cost of more than K52 million.
The company has also supported health and education initiatives, including a K10 million donation towards Covid-19 response efforts in 2021 and a K3 million contribution towards the Zodiak 2025 MSCE Best Girl Awards.
Through the Hope Field Initiative, Kawinga continues to promote irrigation farming, youth empowerment and community-led development in different communities across Malawi.
He has also supported environmental initiatives through a K1 billion pledge to the Beautify Malawi Trust, reflecting the wider scope of his interventions beyond direct relief.
