The Faizan Global Relief Foundation is continuing its nationwide Ramadan food relief campaign, reaching thousands of vulnerable households across the country.
The initiative, which began in Nsanje District, saw 4,000 households in Thyolo Thava Constituency receive food packs on Sunday.
Each pack contains maize flour, rice, sugar, salt, soya pieces, and cooking oil to support families during the fasting period.
Speaking during the distribution, Head of FGRF in Africa, Muhammad Usman Madani, said the campaign aims to reach every corner of Malawi while encouraging communities to adopt long-term solutions to hunger.
“Our mission goes beyond food relief. We want to ensure as many households as possible across Malawi receive assistance and are empowered through education and self-reliance,” Madani said.

Member of Parliament for Thyolo Thava and Minister of Gender, Disability and Social Welfare, Mary Thom Navicha, welcomed the support, noting that her constituency has been heavily affected by cyclones and poor harvests.
“We are grateful for FGRF’s assistance, which reaches families when they need it most. This programme shows how coordinated efforts can address food insecurity across the country,” Navicha said.
FGRF Communications Director Ibrahim Omar Mataya said the Ramadan initiative is part of a broader strategy to strengthen community resilience, combining immediate food support with programmes that promote sustainable livelihoods and self-reliance.
The campaign is continuing in other districts across Malawi, with FGRF pledging to ensure that no vulnerable household is left behind during the holy month of Ramadan.
