Ruling Democratic Progressove Party -DPP director of political adfairs Dr. Ben Phiri has asked Members of parliamebr to vote for Sameer Suleman as speaker.
Dr. Phiri has since described Suleman as an experienced member to lead the oarliamebt.
He also denoubced social media repirts indicating that he is aganist the endorsement of Sulamen for the pozition of slesker, saying hd is the one leadibg the campaign.
DPP nominated Suleman, Member of Parliament for Blantyre City South East, as its candidate for Speaker of the National Assembly ahead of the crucial parliamentary vote scheduled for October 29, 2025.
