The Islamic Commission for Justice has recognized Vice President Dr. Jane Ansah for outstanding service and commitment to the people of Malawi.
The commission presented a certificate of recognition to the Vice President today at Capital Hill.
The commission’s founder and Chief Commissioner Shaibu Ajassie said the recognition was a testament to the vice president’s dedication to public service and her role in promoting unity and collaboration between the government and faith-based organisations.
The commission also presented a holy Quran, acknowledging her as a woman of prayer.
Ajassie hailed the vice president for her continued efforts in supporting women and girls, including education and economic empowerment initiatives.
Speaking during the ceremony, Dr Ansah thanked the commission for the gesture and emphasized the importance of collaboration between the government and faith-based organizations.
“Government cannot work alone,” she said, highlighting the significant role the Muslim faith community plays in supporting government initiatives.
The Vice President specifically acknowledged the Islamic Commission’s objectives and expressed government’s commitment to working with them to promote development and empower women.
