Education Minister Bright Msaka has urged graduates of the Malawi School of Government (MSG) to put their qualifications and skills to work for Malawi’s development.
Msaka made the call in Lilongwe during the MSG graduation ceremony, where 565 learners graduated.
He challenged the graduates to become agents of transformation in their respective workplaces by using the knowledge they have acquired to improve organisations, solve problems and uphold integrity.
“Your qualifications should not be only a personal achievement but a national achievement. Wherever you work, become an agent of transformation. Improve the organisation that you belong to. Solve problems and uphold integrity,” said Msaka.
MSG Director General Professor Louis Dzimbiri also urged the graduates to become agents of positive change in their workplaces.
Dzimbiri said MSG is committed to producing graduates with relevant competencies and skills needed to support Malawi’s development aspirations.
“Our aim is to ensure that we are providing relevant graduates, with relevant competences and skills to the Malawi nation. Malawi wants to be urbanised and industrialised by 2063. To achieve that, it requires human capacities,” he said.
A total of 565 learners graduated from the Malawi School of Government during the ceremony.
