Vice President Dr Jane Mayemu Ansah, is today Thursday October 1, presiding over the second GACOPA Southern Africa Conference and the Physician Associates Union of Malawi (PAUM) Biannual Conference in Dowa.
The international conference is taking take place from October 1 to 3, 2026, at Kalipano Hotel, bringing together clinical officers, physician associates and other health professionals.
Ansah is attending the gathering as the Guest of Honour.
The conference is being organised under the theme, “Transforming Clinical Care through Research, Innovation and Community Engagement whilst Promoting Mental Health amongst Health Care Providers.”
The conference provides a platform for health professionals to share knowledge and experiences while exploring ways of improving clinical care through research and innovation.
The programme also focuses on community engagement and mental health among healthcare providers, with emphasis on strengthening clinical care and building healthier communities.
The event brings together the Global Association of Clinical Officer and Physician Associates (GACOPA) and PAUM for discussions on healthcare delivery and the role of health professionals in advancing healthcare services.
