On Wednesday September 2, Vice President, Dr Jane Mayemu Ansah held an audience with Miss International Africa Yollanda Chimbarami and Miss Universe Zimbabwe 2025 Lyshanda Moyas in Blantyre.
Speaking during the meeting, Chimbarami described themselves as ambassadors with a strong African network and expressed their desire to build partnerships between Malawi and Zimbabwe.
The meeting focused on the importance of the creative industry and the work being done by the Zimbabwean delegation in the creative space.
The beauty queens said they collaborate closely with the Zimbabwean government and work with young girls and boys living with disabilities across the continent.
In her remarks, Vice President Dr Jane Ansah welcomed the development and commended the beauty queens for the enviable work they are doing.
She said the beauty queens are icons and good leaders who serve as role models for young people in their respective countries.
The beauty queens also presented to the Vice President with a gift in the form of Zimbabwean national fabric, an initiative facilitated by Zimbabwe’s First Lady, Auxillia Mnangagwa.
